  • Laurence Schram holds a PhD from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Her research focused on the persecutions and deportations of Jews and ‘Roma’, with a particular focus on the Dossin barracks as an SS assembly camp.
  • Laurence studied Political Science and History at the Université libre de Bruxelles. She is also a research associate at this university.
  • She is the author of numerous publications on, among other things, the history of the genocidal deportation of Jews and Roma from Belgium and Northern France, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. As an expert, she regularly gives lectures on the above themes.
  • Laurence took an active part in the creation of the Jewish Museum for Deportation and Resistance (1996), in the new exhibition in the Belgian pavilion in Auschwitz (2006), in the creation of the permanent exhibition (2012) and the renewed Memorial (2020) at Kazerne Dossin.
